Introduction
Project scheduling and costing provide the roadmap for all the following software development activities. Effectively scheduling the process, while keeping costs in control, can mean the difference between a successful, on time project and a failed one.
This course will introduce different tools and techniques for scheduling a software development process and apply analytical techniques on the schedule to select the critical path. The participants will be introduced to Gantt Charts, Network Diagrams and other tools useful in scheduling and monitoring a project. They will also be introduced to various aspects of the costs involved in developing software, starting with the project budget to costing techniques. Participants will learn time proven financial formulas for keeping better control of expenses on their projects.
